Our direct cremation services are designed to accommodate those who want to opt for a simple, cost-effective process after a loved one has passed. This involves signing some paperwork, and we will need to gather some family details; then, the body is moved forward in a cardboard or ply coffin to our cremation services in Auckland.
This option differs from traditional cremation in that you will not see the body again when you select this option. There is no embalming, so friends and family will not be able to spend time with the departed.
If you would like to find out more, or you need to book direct cremation, please get in touch with our caring and compassionate team to discuss your arrangements and requirements.
Why choose direct cremation?
Farewelling a loved one looks different across families and cultures, and it is a deeply personal process. At The Natural Funeral Company, we are here to assist and guide you in ways that feel right for you, including working with the timeframes and budgets that apply to your situation.
Ashes are available quickly
When you opt for direct cremation, you generally forgo a traditional funeral service along a traditional timeline. When you choose this option, the ashes are available swiftly, which may work well if you need to take them to another location. It also provides you with some space to decide the best way to memorialise your loved one without time pressure.
Plan a Memorial
Sometimes, we need to take a moment. The death of a loved one can be challenging and sometimes complex. Direct cremation will allow you to grieve without spending energy putting together a funeral service, and it also allows you to take as much time as you need to organise a memorial service – if that’s what you want to do.
We can organise your cremation services in Auckland, and we are able to assist you in putting together a fitting memorial service at a time that suits you best. This means friends and family from overseas can be involved, and you can choose the level of expense you are able to comfortably put towards a tribute.
A Quiet Goodbye
Not every person will have a funeral service or a memorial; in fact, it is relatively common to quietly lay someone to rest in a deeply personal fashion. This option is private, affordable and can be entirely appropriate under many different circumstances. There are no right or wrong ways to farewell the deceased, and you must align your choices with what feels right for you.
