Funeral Venue
Choosing a suitable venue is an important part of the process of farewelling your loved one. While traditionally, a service may have happened at a church, there are now any number of places that are accepted as funeral venues.
You may choose the church your family is affiliated with; you could opt for a hall, a crematorium, a private home— or anywhere else that offers a venue hire service that doesn’t exclude funerals. Some people prefer to have a service outdoors at a garden or a beach, and it really comes down to what has been requested or what feels most appropriate to your circumstances.
At Natural Funerals, we have a beautiful old brick church in Auckland where you can hold funeral services, and we have a wide range of additional services which can be included on the day that can be specifically designed to suit your unique needs.
When you choose our Arohanui Room as your venue, you can bring religious or cultural items along, and we can comfortably accommodate around 50 guests. This room is also perfect for more intimate gatherings. We can take care of all your needs at our place, or we can help you organise everything you need for a service elsewhere.

Venue Facilities
Our Arohanui Room is a charming option for a fond farewell. If you select our venue for your service, we can easily provide a number of the elements you might need or prefer to ensure that your loved one gets a proper send-off and that your guests are taken care of.
We can organise these items for you wherever you choose to have your service, just ask our compassionate team to put together a package that fulfils your requirements.

Catering
Our funeral catering service offers a morning or afternoon tea, which can include club sandwiches, hot savouries and a sweet to finish.
You may choose cheese platters, antipasto and rolls with glazed ham on the bone. Or you could opt for our canape and platter options, and we can also organise tea, coffee and juice.
Our caterers can bring classic white tablecloths, supply fresh flowers for your tables, serve sweets on tiered cake plates, and you can choose to have waiting staff to serve your guests.
Everything is optional and we can also accommodate special requests.
Celebrants
If you want us to organise a funeral celebrant to guide or officiate at your venue, we can help. A celebrant might put together or read a eulogy; they can introduce those who are going to speak at the funeral or lead your guests in a special song. It can be a relief to have a neutral person take care of these details at your venue, and we can assist you in choosing the right person.
Audio Visual Equipment
You may want to have a slideshow with images of your loved one at your venue, and you will likely need some audio equipment so that people can stand and speak and everyone in the room can hear them. We can provide everything you need at our Arohanui Room as part of our full funeral packages.
