Funeral Flowers

When organising a service, flowers can be a lovely addition to the day. They can reflect the style and taste of the departed, and for many, the floral tribute at the service is of great importance.

Many attendees may want to send flowers, and it pays to have a system in place so that people know which address to send flowers to; you can add an address to your funeral notice. You might want all the flowers you receive displayed at the funeral venue or wish to order or design a specific floral arrangement to form a centrepiece for your service.

You could choose a spray that sits atop the casket, you may prefer a traditional funeral wreath, or you can add a striking bouquet to bring cheer and offer a scented accompaniment to readings, stories and remembrances.

When should my funeral flowers be delivered?

If you are organising a funeral, you should request the arrangement be delivered that morning. Deliveries ahead of this time must be stored appropriately to maintain freshness. Our funeral director is happy to connect you with all the things you need, and we can supply flowers for you on request.

Order your flowers.

Our dedicated florist is wonderfully creative and starts by getting a sense of the person before creating beautiful, customised bouquets and sprays. They consider a range of factors, including favourite colours and flowers.

You can browse a few pieces they have created below to give you an idea of what may be possible if you choose to have your flowers made up by The Natural Funeral Company.

When you choose us for your service, you can also have your preferred florist make an arrangement, use freshly picked flowers from a garden – or do anything else that suits you best. We usually provide a basket of rose petals at the service to be scattered as a farewell gesture.

Arrangement costs generally start at $150. Please enquire here if you would like us to arrange your floral tribute.

Are condolence flowers always appropriate?

Sometimes, a family may request that flowers not be sent; this is a deeply personal choice. Traditionally, sympathy flowers are sent to the bereaved’s home. However, sending them to the funeral company is also appropriate. It pays to consider whether you should make arrangements to transport bouquets home if you wish to direct sympathy flowers to The Natural Funeral Company.
