When you opt for a comprehensive funeral service, there are many points to consider and various decisions to make. At Natural Funeral, we are here to support and guide you as you navigate towards a fitting send-off for your loved one.
What is a Full Funeral Service?
When you have a public funeral service, you will likely put a notice in the paper, you may send messages to everyone who may like to attend, and you will need to decide on a suitable venue for the number of attendees you are expecting. You will probably have a clergyperson, celebrant, or master of ceremonies to lead the service and a printed service order with photographs, information and a written tribute.
Venue
Some people choose a church, hall, or even a sports club for their service. You can select any funeral venue that can be hired for funerals. At Natural Funeral, we have a beautiful old brick church in Auckland where you can hold services, and we have a wide range of funeral service options designed to suit your unique needs.
Audio-Visual Equipment
You may need audiovisual equipment to provide a microphone for anyone who wishes to speak and to show a photo tribute. Most people will want some music to be played throughout the service, and some services will include a song or some readings. Many people now also provide live stream links. Please contact our team to learn how this works.
Flowers
Feel free to enquire with us if you want a special floral tribute prepared for your service. Our in-house florist has a range of lovely set options, or you can select the funeral flowers you prefer. A basket of rose petals can also be provided at the service to be scattered as a farewell gesture.
Catering
At most venues, you can use any caterer of your choosing to serve catered food. If you opt for a church funeral, there will likely be an adjacent room where serving food and offering other refreshments will be appropriate. We regularly offer funeral catering services to provide a complete range of food selections, together with tea, coffee, juice, white tablecloths, fresh flowers, tiered cake plates, and waiting staff if required.
