When a loved one passes, there are lots of things to be organised, especially if you have opted for a full funeral service. At The Natural Funeral Company, we are here to support and guide you as you navigate towards a fitting farewell. Alongside seeking guidance about organising flowers, a casket, and catering, you may want to get some help with your funeral slideshow.
Most families like to share images from their loved one’s life, often as a photo display or a memorial card. It has also become very common to put together a funeral slideshow, which is able to be played as the celebrant and other speakers talk and sometimes at a catered event afterwards.
The team at The Natural Funeral Company can assist with creating a professional looking slideshow, and it is also possible to have the service itself recorded or live-streamed so that those who are unable to attend can feel like they are part of the day.
Putting Together a Funeral Slideshow
A funeral slideshow is a great way to share the story of a loved one’s life visually. You can collate your images along a timeline, create highlighted memories, and add photographs that include shared moments so that other family members and friends can reminisce. Putting together a slideshow starts with collecting all the photographs you want included. These may be physical copies or digital images, and it will help if you can put them in chronological order—or any other order you prefer.
We can assist you with collating your images, and we have the technical know-how required to ensure your slideshow looks polished and runs smoothly on the day. If you are utilising our Auckland facilities, we can provide all the audiovisual equipment you will need at our Arohanui Room.
We can also set you up with audiovisual equipment at another venue of your choice. Lots of families opt for a funeral slideshow as part of a full funeral package, and you can choose both a slideshow and a live stream if that’s what you prefer.
How Much Does a Funeral Slideshow Cost?
If you select the Arohanui Room at The Natural Funeral Company premises in Auckland, we charge a base rate of $460 for our venue; then, you can pick and choose from a range of optional services that you can add as you prefer.
Many people choose our venue as we can easily provide everything you will need to deliver a fitting tribute all in one place. If you would like us to collate your slideshow and organise it to play at the appropriate time, the charge will be between $120-200. If you would prefer us to set this up for you at another venue, the costs will vary depending on the location and the facilities that are already in place.
You can browse some of our additional services below, including live streaming, which is a great way for absent friends and family to be there for your service. If you want to book a full funeral service with us, please read more about what that entails here.

Catering
Many people like to serve refreshments after a funeral to give people a chance to catch up, share treasured memories and reminisce together. We can organise catering for your event with fresh flowers and classic white tablecloths, and you can even have waiting staff to serve food to your guests so you can relax and connect.
You can select from a range of options, including rolls with glazed ham on the bone, morning or afternoon tea, canapes, platters and more. We can also accommodate special requests.

Service Cards
We have a talented designer who can put together postcards, bookmarks, A6 or A5 cards. A service card is a great way to share some treasured photographs, favourite texts or poems and to provide a physical order of service. We can also present you with a digital copy to share with mourners who can’t attend the service.

Live Streams
A Live Stream lets you invite people who can’t be at the service to speak, watch and listen. We can broadcast their speech on a big screen at the front of the room, and you can also have a live stream audio-visual link to
include absent mourners at a social event after the service. You can add your link to a public event on social media or make an invitation only via email. Guests can tune in during the service or access a recording after the event.
